I found her fascinating bc she's only 1 day older than I am, which made it easy to see weird parallels in our existence, but from the beginning there were clear warning signs about the lengths she would go to for self-perceived relevance. I wonder how many of us thanked in her book regret it now.

Sorry, I'm high and must go on. Before she went TERF I criticized her for retweeting a dude with a "If you want to call me a racist, fine, I'm a racist" bio and she insisted he was just mocking overly sensitive progressives and he wasn't really a racist. I was like, "I CAN SEE HIS OTHER TWEETS!"

Conservative "intellectuals" relationship with art is hilarious because their philosophy forces them to insist all art is either objectively good or bad, while faced with the reality that by this standard most of the work that reflects their beliefs is the latter. Anything actually good is suspect.

Creepy dudes insist complimenting women is a minefield but it really isn't. All it takes is to make sure the compliment expresses the sentiment of "I sincerely like the choice you made that led to me making the compliment" instead of "I am saying something I think is nice because I want sex."

When I went to a midnight screening at my local rep theatre, the previous screening was letting out and it was a charity event that screened a film directed by Daniel Roebuck, who was there. I recognized him and introduced myself and he asked what I knew him from and he laughed when I said, "DUDES!"
