I called the office of my state assemblywoman, Jo Ann Simon, who supports congestion pricing. Her office told me they’ve never gotten so many calls from constituents who are upset about a single issue before. Her staffer suggested that I call the NY senate majority leader and assembly speaker too

Just noting that the big new movie opening next weekend that is going to snap the bad box-office streak is...nonexistent. There is none, because of the strikes. Every Hollywood-in-trouble story between now and the end of 2024 should contain the sentence, "They did it to themselves."

the villain in PASSENGER 57 is a debonair Englishman who loves to bomb things and is clearly motivated to do so by his hatred of his evil father. that’s called clean straightforward screenwriting. why don’t we get guys like this in movies anymore.
