the rebound can happen regardless of whether or not you take paxlovid. it’s an antiviral (like tamiflu for influenza). It doesnt kill the virus, it just slows it’s reproduction in your body, which helps to prevent more serious illness and may lessen symptoms

cool, this person didnt have any surgeries until she was an adult. so still not the example i asked for. at a certain point we are responsible for the choices we make as adults. she went thru the gauntlet of having surgery and then never detransitioned? im pretty sure she’s trans

reason medical standards of care *tend* to not have hard age limits bc age is generally arbitrary standards of care that are correlated w/ age usually refer to specific medical stages or benchmarks (ex. puberty - tanner stages) in order to be flexible enough to meet individual needs & circumstances
