I think a lot of people have the misconception around home charging infrastructure being required as opposed to any outlet for level 1. Not a big stretch to think people will start to tie solar or batteries to that with aggressive marketing. That is all I was saying.

This is a bad idea though. You don't need home solar to have an EV that easily charges for 50 miles of daily driving without anything more than a standard outlet. Having an EV can increase push for solar but should avoid making potential EV buyers think they need to also budget a $20k solar array.

And I would say most people don't realize that you can get sufficient charge without a 220v outlet for most daily uses. I have a Leaf and plugin hybrid and haven't needed anything more than a standard outlet. Unless driving over 50 miles a day but then just get a 220v outlet.

The short term sell is for most 2+ vehicle homes to have at home charging capability and 1 hybrid or plugin hybrid for longer trips. EV is fine for day to day driving and charging at home for most use cases.

The other angle is people like Tom ignored Biden's obvious weaknesses in pushing for him in 2020, despite him also being a failed candidate before being VP. Turns out being VP raises your profile. I think the radical leftist parenthetical gives it away, along with subtext of race and gender bias.

I really don't see how Biden saying out loud that he wanted to pass the baton to the next gen after he saved us from Trump and wanted to nominate a black woman VP leads to #3 being a conspiracy theory. The implication that it is nefarious is more of #2 though.
