I never actually expected them to offer it, but one time I checked Duolingo out of curiosity and was struck by the fact it had courses for goddamned High Valerian, and Klingon and not Igbo, a language with a population ~31 million speakers (for context, Dutch is ~30 million)

Bluesky can't go public fast enough. As much as I really love Mastodon as a platform and find the vibes generally positive, there's so much policing of users by users that I find it impossible to use without getting buried in sanctimony. Threads is an unusable corporate disaster.

reading a piece which I've generally enjoyed and stopping in my tracks when the nonbinary (AFAB, of course) author calls themself "female-bodied", like c'mon don't do this. if you align so much with your assigned sex at birth that you see your body as a manifestation of it, just say "AFAB"!
