I was in a good spot to be moderately responsive today and would love if the #parkchat community picked up over here. I know it won’t be like it was over there (the limit on official NPS participation for starters) but I’m betting there’s a nucleus that could form over here too.

Almost seven years sober here now, but the 2 years I was drinking heavily, pretty isolated (living overseas) and on SSRI’s were a dark and often foggy period for my mental health.

Because I can’t leave well enough alone, I’ll add that a 0.5-1.0 gallon/week of bourbon makes it damn hard to know what’s doing what to/for him. But I can’t say much. When I came off of SSRI’s a key driver was because I didn’t like how it played with my alcohol. I chose booze and blamed the drugs.

My dad and mom haven't really been able to sleep in the same bed since getting onto pretty high dose because he has super intense and often combative dreams (kicking and punching in his sleep). :(

My kids and I are gearing up to watch the final episode of Stranger Things on Thursday or Friday night after binging all 4 seasons over the last 4 weeks. I can tell you this - it’s going to leave a pretty big whole to fill in our summer break lives together.
