generally I wish people would explain whether they are worried biden comes across badly sometimes because of age or if his brain is mush because of age - is the election campaign the problem or the governing? (I am not expressing an opinion here, just pointing out that these are different issues!)
My top concern is that due to age-related deterioration he's unable to run the campaign he needs to win, but I am increasingly concerned about his ability to do the job, and nearly certain that he won't be able to by 2028
To explain what I mean: Biden supports genocide, and this bit about the debate is apparently the last chance that Democrats will allow for replacing him with someone who might not support genocide.
How is this either/or? He can’t talk on Thursday night, but can the next day—seems like sundowning. Both things are alarming, both untenable. He may be incapable of getting through election season, may lose. He also clearly cannot serve until 2029, and seems unable to function after 9pm right now.
I think basically everyone is worried about the campaign. To the extent they’re worrying about his governing, it’s second-order thinking like “OTHER people will find this concerning, so he’ll lose the campaign.”
Obviously everyone is just scared of Trump
I was saying I’m not too worked up latter because I watched 2020 debates, he seemed same very old and confused then, and has since been able to govern fine.
