I want to tell you "it's ok" but I know it isn't and you have every right to feel awful. When one of my best friends died years ago, I felt the same way. He was only in his 20's, and he drank himself to death. Why didn't we listen, why couldn't he get the help he needed? It hurts so bad.

when we beg people to mask up, we are doing it because we know from experience how much the chronic illness life can suck. we’re not trying to control you. we really just don’t want anyone else to have to suffer needlessly and also, uh. we want to stay alive and not get further disabled ourselves!

This time I managed to shake them out, caught them in a cup, and brought them to the kitchen. Where they were served a cube of watermelon from which they heartily ate and drank. Then they were placed in our plants, where I frequently see earwigs around this time of year.

I tried shaking out my backpack when we left, to no avail. I set my backpack on the back of the couch, where it has been since yesterday. After folding laundry in the same location tonight, I went upstairs to put things away and noticed the little adventurous earwig crawling over a shirt!

Let me tell you the tale of a very adventurous earwig. They ended up in my backpack when husband and I went to the ER for the second time. I saw them dip into a pocket but couldn't get them out. On the way out of the ER I saw them running over the surface of the backpack again!

Ugh, time for more Shia struggles. Yesterday, we found ourselves at the emergency vet due to Shia getting a third UTI in the last several months. The bill was insane, considering they didn’t examine her, (let’s save that rant for another day…)

What sucks is that this is on top of mystery pain in his right ankle that he has had all year! It got better than it used to, but now he walks with a cane. So we have multiple medical mysteries to unravel with him.

Back from doctor for husband and physical therapy for husband, No more appointments for a while. He is being tested for B12 deficiency because it can cause some of his symptoms, and told to use his muscle relaxers to see if it will help. If it doesn't then he'll get a referral to neurology. Tired!

MRI results are back, he's clear!! So not a stroke, maybe nerve impingement. Follow up with doc tomorrow for more. God, at least his whole-ass life isn't in danger. Like, this isn't fun but it's not life threatening.

Best case scenario shows he is clear of a stroke! Which means tweaked nerve. Super different treatment courses, one more an emergency than the other for sure. I'm so ready to have more information so we know how to help him

Woohoo, he's just gone back for the long awaited MRI! His care team has to physically go to the imaging department to see what was going on, because they weren't picking up the phone. They must be swamped....
