Very minor quality of life suggestion here on BlueSky (Mac, Firefox, desktop): I can click on the date/time of a skyte to "open in new tab," but despite the date and time being displayed in a quoted skyte I cannot do the same to the quoted skyte. Gotta open the quoting post and click through.

This is also a nice reminder that when conservatives say, "Judeo-Christian" they mean "Christian," because you know nobody at Project 2025, including the person who wrote "Judeo-Christian" below, means anything but Sunday when they talk about deciding what people can & should do on the Sabbath.

This couldn't be better timed, since folks are feeling demoralized. Hard as it may be to believe, but politics can be good for mental health.

Authors Emily Amick and Sami Sage explain how in their new book. Check out my interview with Emily!

Seven times between 1801 and 1869 Congress changed the size of the court, going from a low of five justices in 1801 to a high of ten in 1863. In most of those cases, as in 1801 and 1863, the size went up and down in order to fix an imbalance or overreach by the Supreme Court. My latest

Reviews for Posobiec book have prominent Trump allies giving variations on “It’s true- liberals are trying to grab totalitarian power & will do anything including mass murder to get it”. More stuff like what @jbouie.bsky.social wrote about in “Why Republicans are talking about Biden’s dictatorship”

Once again: The actual POTUS doesn't do a lot. Who they (*groans* he) tap(s) for key staff jobs, however, is critical and winds up having a profound impact on policy and the running of this joint. The amount things don't fall apart matters. Project 2025 REALLY SOFA KING MATTERS, friends
