dont think i've ever done this but i could really use any positive vibes sent my way, yall. ๐
not supposed to talk or cough post-surgery and I now have a 102 degree fever and a hacking cough and am fucking terrified im going to ruin the entire surgery.
this sucks so fucking bad.
you got this girl!!
load up on whatever meds you need, be in touch with your surgeon and hold on. there's always "what's optimal" and "what's realistic" when it comes to medicine, just have to take it as best you can. ๐
sending you all the care and positive vibes i have, babe
rest as well as you can, and soothe your throat as best you can, and know we're all here for you โค๏ธโ๐ฉนโค๏ธโ๐ฉน
I know itโs been said at least once but you get in touch with that surgeon right now!
Fevers are dangerous and medical grade cough syrups exist! Even a virtual appointment at an urgent care or something.
You've got this. If it makes you feel any better my vocal coach said whispering is harder on your vocal cords than coughing so.... I hope everything turns out ok โค๏ธ
My exbf and I got hit hard *immediately* after top surgery, thanks to his conservative religious coworker that doesn't believe in handwashing. He was given "don't get sick during recovery" too and rip. But with care pulled through.
It's not ideal, but focus on your rest and you'll come out alright.
