I posted a while back about the lack of good markets in Auckland, but I have found a goodie. Manurewa on Sunday. Not huge but good selection of produce plus seafood, the usual fast foods, socks, Ts and second hand goods. Bustling but not crowded. Delish muscle fritters and trays of eggs for $13

Thanks e hoa - it's so frustrating to talk and talk about this and feel like it's getting nowhere. I can't see how juice is "assault" but "if rainbow people step out of line we'll put them back in their place" isn't a threat worth acting on.

Homeless people can be arrested for sleeping, Presidents cannot be arrested for rampant graft and corruption done while in office. There is no clearer a summary of "conservative 'law and order'" than this.

Yip. We have some work about to begin at school which includes moving the water fountain but I have asked it just be capped as there is a boil water notice for the town and has been for 2 years with no sign of that changing any time soon. Bottled water is always available but sometimes kids forget.

Auckland friends. We have a big fundraiser of family pies, delivered to school on 5th July. I will bring Auckland orders north with me that evening. These are made at a fab Milton cafe. $18 each with $6 going to our wee kura. Mince, mince & cheese, steak, steak & mushy, creamy chicken.
