The next time you see high gas prices, remember that Exxon posted $9.1 billion in earnings for the third quarter of this year. The money is coming out of consumers’ pockets and going back to Exxon’s wealthy shareholders, to which it gave $8.1 billion in Q3.

The next time you see *any* gas prices, remember that it is insane to keep delaying a transition to a solar/wind powered electric economy ... all because: a) we have become addicted to cheap fossil fuels and b) the fossil fuel industry owns the US Congress

This represents about $60 per household (3rd quarter only) or $240 for a full year per household—just for one corporation. Imagine the outcry if taxes went up by a similar amount.

The easiest way to stop these profits is to stop buying it, as by doing so you're helping to destroy the planet.

It’s why I don’t get Mobil gas. That and it’s by far the most expensive but people buy it.

That can’t be true. They told me it was supply cost inflation and Covid that was causing the price to go up. It couldn’t be simple profit taking 🙄

And yet, idiots still try hanging it on Biden and other Democrats, but the real villains are the Saudis and other oil cartel members, and the Republicans who enable their behavior by refusing to regulate them better.
