I mean, mistake #1, you're drinking Blue. Unless it's the end of your weekend and this is the last beer to be found, that's a crime in and of itself. Also, shrinkflation is a thing. First 0.5 L cans went to 473 mL. Some are even 440 mL. *shrugs*

Fandom communities online tend to have a lot of just less than friendly behaviours for whatever reason. I try to keep in mind that the loudest complainers tend to be the outliers and not indicative of the fandom as a whole. But man, can they be annoying AF. lol Nothing's ever good enough...

In fairness, Star Trek fans can be just as poopy. We had a hilarious bunch of meme groups on FB once upon a time that devolved into pointless arguments, reporting each other and crap all to try to troll their way into having the "most popular meme" of the day. People suck.

Generally to display the meter the poem is meant to be read it. Sometimes just for the visual aesthetic, or to make a 21 word poem seem like more than it is. In poetry, like in engineering, the work is done not when there's nothing left to add, but nothing left to take away.

But we would basically see America as entitled and reckless, inconsiderate of their impact on others or of the sacrifices made by others for their benefit. We try to be more conscientious up here. You're the risk takers. For us, the weather is all the risk we need.

That's more or less what it boils down to. Though the Canadian side of that is a much different perspective. We have the French half-brother who would make a huge stink about "And what about us! You always forget us!" but they make a lot of noise for attention and get ignored up here.

Depends who you ask. lol I have often joked that the Canadian identity is 20% Hockey and 80% "Not being an American." Though, in fairness, a good American friend of mine once said "You're just like us, but you're newer at it." They had a point.

Both hit you smack in the face when you walked in. The incense was an improvement, but it was one of the only bars in town that wasn't just filled with the kind of bar douchery that makes bars untenable. (Granted I'm in my 40s now, so they're all a waste of energy at this stage of the game lol)

I've never understood the obsession with car ownership. They're incredibly expensive for a device you often don't really need, depending on your lifestyle and location. They're the perfect case study for the sunk cost fallacy in my eyes. Yet people look at me like I'm nuts for not owning one.
