NYT's readership has long has been elite, powerful, & well educated liberals. They do not have a FoxNews audience, and this is their power & value, since FoxNews stuff would not work on a liberal readership. The NYT knows how to package (and slip in) right-favoring messages to their own readership.

this was critically bad in 2016, it didn’t work in 2020 and they are doubling down in 2024, but i don’t donate to the NYT and i don’t give a single fuck who times columnists or the times publisher thinks i should get to vote for

I think their influence is fading fast (along with their subscriber numbers) and throwing in with the right and getting Trump back is their panic response but, on the bright side, the fading influence means they can’t do as much damage as they probably think they can
