i was just goofin, but if we’re being serious about court reform: two non-partisan justices selected from each circuit’s geographic jurisdiction to serve single 12 year terms to a total of 26 justices, ties be damned that’s where I’d start

Always thought the fixation on nine was silly when it's just created by legislation. Give each presidential term two appointments, one per Congress, and make the Senate give them up-or-down floor vites within 60 days of nomination. Trying to run out the clock just means the Senate consents. Boom.

I've been yelling for 27 for some time now...in other courts with a lot of justices, don't they seat a random 9 for most cases with the full court only hearing a small few?
