Of course. I'm merely suggesting that sometimes the best form of self-care is taking action, not withdraw. And, lest we forget, there are a lot of very important things happening in the election that aren't the presidency. At the state level, for instance.

What do you mean? I'm all for self-care, but we certainly can have an effect. We can canvas. We can register voters. We can join local campaigns for the House, Senate, or state houses. There's enormous work to be done.

In the meantime, maybe see if you can find ways to channel that energy into something positive? I'm going out busking this weekend, and instead of passing the hat, I made a sign that says "REGISTER TO VOTE" with a QR code that takes people to vote.gov.
