If you care about the USA, the single best thing you can do today is to contribute to a downticket race thats close. The second best thing you can do is cancel your NYT subscription and use that money for the purpose.

i saw this happen to our newspapers here locally. they went from source of info to blatantly pandering to one political party, then a certain political interest and now they’re all just rags. can’t trust them, mostly murderporn news and gossip now. you’re in the right, the recipes gotta go .-.

i did jrotc myself in high school but i was 14 and i chose it for reasons i wouldn’t have formed by 10. they were going camping from what i saw but they’re setting them up young to the pipe line.

saw how this worked first hand and it saddened me, because both of those things are true. those programs are keeping those kids out of the streets but they’re not in all public schools, they’re in the poorest neighborhoods of the poorest towns. i saw a kid, he had to be like 10, maybe 12, in gear

all i remember about s’ was in 3rd grade they put us in spelling lab and the computer would want me to spell Paul’s or Pauls’ with 0 prompt as to which one. my spelling score tanked so bad i had to do remedial courses after school. so i live with the eternal confusion of s’ 🤣
