Oh yeah, the “you have this long to compete the main quest” is entirely arbitrary. I decided with CP2077 to take every side gig that came up, explore Night City as much as possible, rather than focus on the main plot missions. Still barely scratched the surface. There’s so much to see and do!

The worldbuilding in Cyberpunk is absolutely top-tier. Genuinely amazing. Like yeah, it’s The Future and a bunch of stuff has gone to shit, but people also… still want street food? And to gossip about their neighbours? And talk about how good of a deal they got on some new purchase? It’s so good.

Oh, absolutely not! I’m very much of a “be who makes you happy” approach. If someone wants this build, all power to them. Looking at myself, I’m reminded how much sportier I used to be, and wanting to get back to something like that. That’s the ambition anyway; trying not to focus on an exact goal.

I guess it’s like carving a statue? Start with the full block of marble, and then chisel away to the final form that expresses the artist’s true intentions. It’s tricky for me to relate; as I very much am looking through the lens of “I want Future Steve be appalled by Past and Present Steve”.

It’s not ideal realising that ‘now’ is also ‘before’ for Future You, for sure. That said, we’re all endlessly works in progress as far as I can tell, in body and mind, so can see the positives in a photo series. Also it’s much nicer than just bare numbers; much as it pains me as an analyst to say!

I have a shirt bought a decade ago, also for Doom purposes, to illustrate just how big I got before realising something needed to change. Nowadays it’s like wearing a small tent, which is great. So I can highly recommend this approach, in short!

The beauty of the British system: even if new ministers don’t have personal addresses yet, they’ll inherit the private office staff of their predecessors - civil servants who have both personal and group mailboxes to handle all of this business while their new ministers are getting their IT set up.
