True, but even outside of PBMs, and even for high-end plans, the in network and out of network deductibles are so high that they rarely have to make any payments for any kind of healthcare. Instead they negotiate your price down. The insurance itself is really only insurance against catastrophes.

I can’t keep track of the Marvel and Star Wars series and tbh a lot of them feel eerily similar, except for the standouts like Wandavision, Andor, Loki, Ms Marvel and the granddaddy Madolorian. (She-Hulk and Moon Knight have their moments.)

Every time I interact with health care in any context, a new layer is added—a new *third party* is involved. We need a name for “yet another minor task in my insurer’s workflow that has been spun off into a revenue generating company of its own” so we can point to it as a problem to be solved.
