The rise to power in republican circles has always struck me less as a coalition and more of a coat-tail situation. Disparate groups latch onto the next rising star in the hopes they'll be adjacent enough to power in order to wield it one day. They will literally abase themselves to take their shot

In typical fashion, the director of my department has ordered us to spend four days on site per week while announcing he is working remotely from his second home in another country for the next few months, occasionally spending a few days per month on site maybe πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„
