So sad and angry to see these last ancient oaks in parts of Killarney NP, unable to regenerate for at least the last half century due to invasive sika deer and goats.
If it continues, when the trees die, the most important of Ireland's last rainforests will die with them.

The pine marten is Ireland's rarest (and one of our prettiest) native mammals, and was almost lost to extinction through hunting for fur, poisoning, and destruction of their forest habitat. www.ciaraioch.com/artprints/p/...
