Still has them. People who just absolutely refuse to believe she was the one doing all the science by herself. This even showed up in Big Bang Theory not that long ago. Sheldon said something about Curie "having her husband to help her.". WAY too many scientists think this way!

When I was researching Madame Curie for a class I was teaching, I learned about the “scandal” of her having an affair with a younger colleague. The legendary acceptance of affairs by the French was apparently just as sexist as every other culture’s.

Yeah. In 1910, she started dating fellow physicist Paul Langevin. Curie was widowed, but Langevin was still trying to get divorced, so when the right-wing press heard about it in 1911 they made it into a whole scandal: she was having an affair with a married man!
