This is such a niche brainworm but I’ve been reading a ton of Batfam fic lately and my kid is playing Detective Pikachu Returns on the Switch and the main character is a young detective named Tim and my head has absolutely decided that he’s Tim Drake, no arguments from reality.

This is one of the things I like best about the east coast. I grew up in eastern WA, where you had to drive 6 hours to get to a city in the same state. Drive 6 hours from where I live in MD and you’ve gone through 6 states and hit up DC AND NYC.

It’s super empty right now but I keep this drawer next to the fridge and I just go to Costco and get big boxes of things that are individually wrapped and seem good. We go through a lot of kind bars and trail mix packs. I also keep Costco’s salami and cheese snack packs in the fridge.

This never works for me because I grew up in the inland Pacific Northwest with parents from Brooklyn and Miami and then moved to Baltimore. (And also I apparently don’t talk about street/road components enough to be identified by them.) I have never been to where it thinks I’m from.

The potty training guides all said to carry a post it note around for your kid who is scared of auto flushers. Could also work for jumpsuit needs. Not as swank as a custom printed logo situation tho

We’ve lived in our house for almost 10 years and still occasionally unpack a box. The last one was a box that was packed when we first moved in together more than 20 years ago, and we’ve lived in four houses since then.

My mom ran a nonprofit in the 90s that worked to bring internet to rural communities in the inland northwest. It started at a local university and eventually drew funding from state/federal programs but it was always a struggle even though the benefits were provably significant. This is a HUGE deal.
