My lodge actually got a little write up! The Elks is probably on the whole a fairly conservative organization - my lodge does Pride events and fundraising but I think it skews more conservative elsewhere. But people are still donating and volunteering across the country

But what it also has is SEVERAL multi-page spreads detailing the charitable events and donations local Elks lodges around the country do. A lot of these donations are like $500 - $4k. Some of them are uh much larger!

Here is something nice: I'm a member of my local Elks Lodge, because it's got a great bar and there's not a lot of bars in my town. And bimonthly I get the most Achewood magazine in the world, which contains articles of interest to Grandpas
