The best photo I have of one of the cats we had when I was young is her sitting washing her chest. If you look closely you can see she is sitting on a newspaper, which I had of course been reading.

At Hazel Grove polling station the staff report being busier than usual all day. Only a Labour teller who was being ignored by nearly everyone apart from a few saying they didn't have their polling card, and asking if they needed them.

I'm cis, but I have relatives who are not, and even if I didn't what Starmer is doing is responding to the right wing hate agenda rather than setting the agenda for the country. This and more is why, while I will be happy to see the Tories out, I don't see much hope in 'Tory Light' Labour

Pretty sure that's not how we do it in a lot of the UK, but then we do have a lot of population centres near the Pennines, so we can use gravity. It does happen in the flatter parts like East Anglia.

The UK is now so unequal that a significant proportion of the children now being raised do not get enough to eat. This will affect their brain development and the rest of their body's health long term. Even on Tory metrics this is stupid, we are crippling our future work force.
