The majority does not usually make voting decisions on consequences. We will have to find another way to persuade. I fear the outcome of the next presidential election will be decided by random factors.🙁

Generally right, but I'll quibble with "no one in this country has ever experienced." We've got living people who were in US internment camps during WWII & the context we may be facing could be reminiscent of Reconstruction & Jim Crow Era violence & oppression against Black Americans & their allies.
