This is correct (from @melissagiragrant.com ). There's a bunch of stuff about "helping the poor poor divorced fathers" and outlawing the word "caregiver" and punishing single moms (as well as people living with a partner, another abolished word). WOMEN (a monolith) are to be at home baking bread.

These mottos on cop cars are there to counter impressions that people currently have. If they want to remind you that they're fighting crime, it's because people can't draw that inference from their behavior.

I have some aggravation with these well-meaning articles. The victims of lynchings, cops, and the defunct social safety net would like a word.

On the cusp? It will get worse, yes, but come on.

Here's exactly why this matters: the GOP knows that the country is quickly becoming more diverse. Democracy -- allowing more people to vote -- means that they are out of office. Being anti-democracy is a fancy way of saying you would like the return of John C. Calhoun.

Sheriffs are a threat, and the Democrats don't want to look like they are defunding police. So, there's no action. This is also a threat.

Raskin's office does take it seriously although I appreciate it's hard to cut through the noise. I have offered basic ideas -- like not giving federal money to sheriffs who were Oath Keepers as a start.
