This French election shows that many people are willing to reject the far right when a genuine leftist alternative is presented to them. Unfortunately, centrists never present a genuine leftist alternative, they shift to the right whenever far right politicians start rising in the polls.

I haven't; I never forgot. It's one of many reasons why I was against Bernie in 2020 unlike in 2016. Coupled with how Bernie stans and BernieBros flamed Liz and then audaciously tried to bully her supporters into voting for Bernie, I was like "Yknow what? Fuck you guys". Another broken pedestal.

So, here's the lowdown: While no single alliance is currently projected to have enough seats to form a French government, the one with the largest number of seats is the leftist alliance. Instead of the right gaining, the left did. And the centrists got kicked on both sides.
