If you’ve never seen Dorothea Lange’s photographs of the World War II internment camps and the Japanese-Americans who were imprisoned there, today is a good day to see them and to commit to making sure this never happens again.

50 years ago tonight! It's Jerry Garcia & Merl Saunders at the Bottom Line in NYC (plus Maria Muldaur, Steeleye Span and ... John Lennon?!). doomandgloomfromthetomb.tumblr.com/post/7549936...

No doubt that company is the pits.
It’s a trade off.
Fact is, that’s the only place some of use sell anything and you gotta steer people to the right place to get your stuff.
Will I push my next record hard on the first Friday in September?
You’d better believe it.
Still better than Spotify.

I don’t feel that people are pushing “Bandcamp Friday” for any reason beyond the opportunity for a larger share of the revenue on that day.
It’s not unreasonable to point out, on that day, that you have an opportunity to see an artist or label receive more for the art.

My first 7" single is a song about political leaders for whom objective truth is a joke. It came out 3 years ago and I still have copies available. Get yours now at:

Unlikely to see release.
Unless I keel over and my wife releases some demos in my absence.

This is, of course, ideal.
I've been using computer-based drums when starting a project. This is intended to keep my guitar playing on-tempo as it's easier for me to accompany than a click. The computer drums are later replaced by a human or simply removed in favor of zero drums.

Listening to what I believe will be final mixes of my new record.
Things are shaping up nicely.

Logic has gotten very effective with it. I’ve only done it once but the result was impressive. Ideally though, I’ll just record things at the right tempo…

Terrible day in America but I’ve got some Grateful Dead on the speakers, a tenderloin on the grill, and a beer in the koozie.
It’s 79° and the sky is blue.
So that’s about 10% less terrible.
