The job includes assembling and managing a team he can trust to handle stuff and carry out his policies. Looking at the record, he's done that. Realistically it's too late to get another candidate; getting a campaign up and running would be too chaotic. Still WAY, WAY better than TFG/Project 2025!

Sure, I get all that... but there's actually a great deal more to the job. He's done a great job, saved the republic... but the debate IMO was career ending. It's his call. He stays of course I'm blue, but there is time and there are better candidates... it can and should be done.

Exactly. Events don't need to be scheduled late for any good reason, either. Although, I don't think he is fully capable of the job anymore, but that has nothing to do about him wanting to be in bed early
