Answered your own concerns. Unless of course you think Biden's cabinet and VP are equivalent to competency and intent to those of Bush Jr, Reagan, or Trump. Biden isn't getting woken up at 2am for anything short of a nuclear bomb, an alien invasion, or a catastrophic natural disaster.

Part of the role of the POTUS is to appoint competent cabinet members and staff that can execute the duties of the office should the POTUS be incapacitated or indisposed. As much as we like to conceptually view the POTUS as a king or an emperor, the office simply does not execute that role.

It's all good. I tried to get in with the local VA shelter deal but because I had couches and floors to sleep on, I "wasn't homeless enough" to be helped. I remember my bike getting stolen (lol chico things) and being told to beg on the corner for bus fair if I wanted to come in person to the EDD
