Hate it when non-philosophers criticise a particular philosopher for their obscurity and dullness. I mean, they’re normally right, but you have to study for years before you’re entitled to say so.

The goodish news - Reform has only 4 seats, the same as the Greens, so the exit polls were badly wrong. The really bad news - Reform has more than 4 million votes, more than Lib Dem on 3.5 and not far behind Tories on 6.7 million and Labour on 9.6.

Once knew an MP who lost his seat. Day after election I emailed him to express commiserations: email bounced back, the account was already disabled. Westminster IT team will have to have been very busy overnight this time round.

Exit polls are reasonably helpful at 22.00 in 10 mins. First actual results 23.30. Bulk results 3.00 to 4.00 I think. General pattern should be clear well by then.
