Comics. All sorts of comics. All eras. All genres. But mainly superhero. Long Live The Legion.

Can I just say I love your cat and all the cat pictures you share. Reminds me of our cat that's sadly no longer with us.

Walgreens has the deal with my insurance that they’re the only ones who can provide in person 90 day supplies. And the mail order pharmacy has screwed up even more than Walgreen’s. No pharmacy near me can get enough pharmacists. They just don’t exist.

This shop was a little bit of history. Barbers were all older guys (to my young mind). All concentration camp survivors. They were in that neighborhood shop since they got to the US in the late 40s after they were freed. The stories they told. It was so much a a piece of 70s Brooklyn history.

You ain’t ain’t known fear as a child until the shaky hand of 70 year old man whose seen more shit than you could possibly imagine takes a straight razor to the back of your 7 year old neck to “just trim things close.”

This was years before I found my first actual regular LCS. My dad would pick me up stuff occasionally from this comic shop next to the barber he used to go to as a kid and still went to for years (and took me to, 30 minute drive but only place to ever cut my hair until college 🤣).

And a Whitman Super Mobile to boot. As a very little kid I read that first part of the story and I think it would be a couple of decades before I picked up the second part. Which I now have both regular and Whitman of.

It is. Other signatures in that book are Hank Aaron, Harmon killebrew, Frank Robinson, Eddie Matthews and Ralph Kiner. Legends all who sadly have passed away. My dad got to meet a lot of his childhood heroes before he passed. Always glad for that.

From my personal collection. My dad grew up in New York in the 50s. Was a Dodgers fan. But always said when it came to Willie, Mickey or The Duke it was really no contest. Mays was the greatest ballplayer he said he ever saw play.

Was at my LCS yesterday and saw these. Both in beautiful shape. 8.0-9.0 easy with the White Cover one in nicer shape. You don’t see treasuries that look this nice too often. I didn’t need either one but I was impressed. He hadn’t priced them yet but I’m sure they’ll be expensive and they’ll sell.

I got this signed by him at C2E2 in April. Wondering how many times he sees this poster in a year.

And they should let you. That’s some great work. I actually thought that first cover was a new X-Men cover it so for the style they’ve used on that series in recent years.

This is probably more doing 90 in a 60 zone. Which happens all the time on I80 through Pennsylvania. Unfortunately. My state is even worse.

Can’t find it. Wiki says this series apparently ended at issue 71. But these digests had strange actual titles and numbering. Can I ask where you found this cover so I can see if they have more info?

I worked police fleet automotive design for a number of years. This is going to be some rich departments toy but no regular police fleet is going to buy these as patrol cars or tactical vehicles. It doesn’t meet the needs of either.

I've met these guys. I work with these guys. They ain't hefting an anvil. They're complaining if the thing they have to move at work exceeds 25 pounds and they can't get a lift assist with it and they expect the young guy to move it if it has to be moved.

Donald Trump is literally a convicted felon at this point. I don’t think the son of the President quite matters as much as the first time in history a convicted felon is running as a major party candidate. Convicted felon Trump is kind of more what people will focus on

I just heard on MSNBC a few minutes ago saying he’ll be allowed to vote because he was convicted in NY and NY doesn’t take away the right to vote. And Florida apparently honors that. As long as he’s not actually in jail at the time of the election.

I think it’s an automated eBay thing. It’s been going on for a while now and it is damn annoying. It even just sends you reminders for things you looked at even if there is no offer or anything from the seller.

Another thing I need to find more space for. There are a lot more of them scattered throughout my house because I don’t have a good central location to display all of them.

I did not think I had this many rolled posters. Opened the cabinet to put some away and pretty much every rack is filled. Some of this was my dad’s stuff. After 20 years might be time to clear some of that out.

But they meet all regulatory standards. Regulations can’t keep up with design and technology changes that move rapidly. But that’s no excuse to put something on the roads that’s not safe per regulation. That’s an argument for regulating quicker. NHTSA can’t update FMVSS regs fast enough right now

Well also that they’re not safe by current federal safety standards. We don’t let GM for example sell a “bigly” truck in Americanthat doesn’t meet these same Federal standards. There are millions of vehicles produced around the world that aren’t legal in the US for just such reasons.
