Further to discussions about garden wildlife, Husband has bought a 'trail camera', and is setting it up in various places to see what we shall see. We now have proof that the hedgehog knows where cat kibble might be found of an evening. A hedgehog feeding station in the garden is now a priority!

They need a little ladder so they can reach the cat flap 😁 Good quality kitten food (meat as the first ingredient on the list) is apparently best for them. Things labeled "hedgehog food" can contain any old tut because it's not regulated in the same way.

I need a trail camera for my back garden jungle. We've had hedgehogs nesting under the top shed previously, no idea if they're back or not

But please research appropriate hedgehog foods… in TA we had an “epidemic” of obese hedgehogs who were also susceptible to diseases, because well-intentioned people were overfeeding stray cats and then hedgehogs were glutting on leftover cat kibble.

Ah, that is good. Been wondering about one. We know we have visitors, but foxes apart, rarely see the other mammals.
