Yes, it's worth making some noise about this series - strong characters, intriguing plots, and otherworldly supernatural stuff, all solidly grounded in a realistic depiction of modern rural Britain. I've read and enjoyed all six so far, and recommend them highly.

I rewatched a while ago, first time in years, and what struck me was how many people contributed to the whole. All the writers, editors, directors and of the actors, individually and together. It may have started with one man's idea, with his influence along the way, but it was not a solo creation.

Husband used bricks so the hedgehog feeding station could be adapted for interior shots. Hedgehog was not having that. Two blank nights. So we reverted to Layout #1 and moved the camera. Success! Though this camera position didn't catch the hedgehog going in and out, just foraging in the grass.

Agreed, but I can see some readers noping out if their personal circumstances make the initial grim and brutal a bad fit. The third book absolutely sticks the landing, payoff, however you want to phrase it. Enjoy!

one of the Reform candidates has appeard on (where else) GB News to prove that he's not fake, he just had so extreme an airbrushing job done on his painting it might as well have been a flattering painting of him. if his campaign photo had been on his ID, he wouldn't have qualified to vote!

A bit of promo as reaching readers becomes increasingly difficult. My current contemporary fantasy series is inspired by British myth and folklore. Dan Mackmain is mostly human, but he is a dryad's son, so the Green Man sends him to solve problems when the mundane and the uncanny collide.
