Like Trump will be undoubtedly worse, but until October the majority of vote withholding discussion I saw was high risk people who feel abandoned. I will be sucking it up and voting myself in hopes of reduction of the body count, but It's frustrating it's not recognized I've already been abandoned

While I agree with 99% of this I feel like covid is a bad choice of an example because Biden was only better on covid until everyone hit the initial vaxx target, since then the CDC actively discouraged precautions outside of the shot, and barely pushes the boosters so 90% of people are out of date.

It's not resisting brainwashing and other people not, it's that if you're already being bullied for failing at gender you have basically nothing to lose by trying out new one. And that distinction feels really important when the "everyone else is brainwashed" thing will not fly with the bigots

Like basically, if you are autistic you are unlikely to be able to perform gender in a socially acceptable way, leading to being degendered. Even if you actually identify as your assigned gender, you have to put in constant effort to be recognized as it. You HAVE to put the thought in by default.

I actually really hate this framing. Like the article itself does clarify eventually, but I have seen so many people take this phenomenon as autistic people being naturally resistant to brainwashing and the problem is social norms being stupid, but it's just a side effect of being UNABLE to conform.

I feel like the pendulum that was at "gatekeeping over body dysphoria" has kinda swung too far the other way and now having dysphoria gets downplayed so much that even non-dysphoric transpeople treat it like regular self esteem/body issues when it's like... most of the trans suicide rates afaik? 🙃

No. There will be no more iterations of this. This is full stakes, even if Biden gets in again, the court will function as a rouge entity under democratic majority. They either address this now or lose the power to stop the GOP regardless of who is president. Being lucky forever isn't even enough.

Honestly I think a big part of the issue is the line for personally writing someone off is often in a very different place than where it's fair to apply moderation on behalf of other people even if the accusations are accurate and most of us are gonna feel shitty about letting stuff slide.

UI shit is literally the bane of my existance. I hate windows current UI. I hate android UI. Apple is even worse. But I am using a 10 yr old ipod still because no mp3 player made since has had both buttons and a functional UI. Every art program sucks in it some way but GIMP is definitely worst.
