My dog started barking in the way that means someone is at the door. I ran downstairs to find my neighbor with tears in her eyes. Stricken by sudden foreboding (did something happen to her husband?) I said, "Are you ok?" She said, emotionally, in a ragged voice, "We won. All 34 counts." We hugged.

I got up late, as usual, logged into the computer, saw the headline and shrieked with joy. Scaring Uini, who doesn't care about politics and had no idea what was going on. :-)
