Also, they have cool stories. I'm lucky enough to have an exotic vet practice where I take my rabbits who does a lot of rescue work, pioneered a shell repair technique on turtles run over by cars, and has done surgery on sharks at the Shedd Aquarium.

They're still Insurance Hoops to jump through, and waiting time, but I've basically had no life outside my computer or my job for 3 years this week. If we can get my pain below a three on a regular basis I can cope with that. I live between a three and six right now even on medication

The one week trial of a neurostimulator was very effective in managing my chronic back pain (3 yrs post crash) so I'm being recommended for a permanent implant which should enable me to decrease pain meds and be more active. Possibly close to getting my life back to some degree.

Yeah, I was hesitant at first because of the source. And it made me super uncomfortable that I felt that way because you should always believe the victims but I waited until I saw another source. That was bad on my part and I hope the victims find some peace after all this time

In high school a major topic of discussion was whether it was better to run towards the flash and get it over with or run away from the flash and try and survive a little bit longer but it would probably hurt more. Of course we were half an hour outside of Midtown so we wouldn't have a chance anyway

"Something to tighten them" for me is often an overhand knot about a third of the way along the bottom half of each strap. That way it's not poking me in the ear but it snugs The Mask up just a smidge tighter. My KN95s also have a small extension above the wires so they fit under eyeglasses

Okay I now need you to explain that to the entire staff of the Chicago Transit Authority. Because I've been using a wheelchair for the last 6 weeks and they've stopped listening to me. I used to volunteer as an election judge in our extremely diverse neighborhood with a lot of immigrants. It was inspiring to see newly minted citizens come in to vote for the first time. They dress up and want their pictures taken with the poll workers. They brought their kids.

I've volunteered as a security escort for Chicago's Pride for decades. And I'm as straight as they go. But doing a minorly annoying job to give so many people their chance to shine is worth all the blisters and long bus rerouted. I don't intend to change a damn thing

I still have my Pilates hoop and ballfor pushing out and pushing in with my knees to strengthen my hip muscles I also still have my stretching the strap which had a little foot place at the bottom so I could stretch my hamstrings without taking my back off the floor
