It makes it harder to trust the direction AI is headed. Initially I don't have an issue with AI until misuse is involved. There needs to be preventative and protective measures when it comes to permission and commercial use, etc.

I've said this elsewhere; the ask for consent is performative. There are many, mostly with the letters Mr in front of their names, who cannot and will not accept no for an answer. We have to make them pay, out the ass, in terms of $$ which is all that matters to them.
