I'm younger than Stonewall, and I've seen multiple raids on my queer social spaces in my lifetime. Any safety we have is fragile enough. This election is fucking *existential* to our community. Right-wingers in power are out for literal blood, and have said so openly. Our lives DO depend on this.

I attended my first #Pride in June 1998.
I was bashed in broad daylight two months later.
Matthew Shepard was murdered two months after that. He was barely 6mo younger than me.
I resolved to go to Pride every year I could afterwards. Strength in fucking numbers.

Granted, I expect any attempted ban to only be enforced when the police really want to, like in a protest crowd — at first. But it never stops there, and eventually they'll have to reconcile it with health/ADA needs. I'm hoping someone takes it to court on those grounds.

I think what really matters is whether the pack prides itself on being together generally (a good thing) or uses an identifier for a sense of superiority (not so good). Generally I've seen this in the former sense, but I've seen a few toxic packs decidedly using a name for the latter sense.
