The best thing about my appointment this morning was the dental assistant recognizing my ring. It turns out she's from New Orleans East and graduated from the same high school as our middle son, though several years later. We had a lovely chat about Chubbie's Chicken and Mardi Gras. IYKYN 🥰 💜💚💛⚜️

After days away, our orange kitty friend (the mister calls him Creamsicle) came by to visit for a few minutes. He has a bare patch on the back of his neck, probably from a fight. It's becoming apparent he has no permanent home, so we may try to do a TNR soon.

We got to see the Bobs in concert years ago, and they were so good! It was funny because much of the audience was there because they had season tickets and didn't really know who the group was. 😀

I get that - it's still a little weird to watch the movie, honestly, even though I had a wonderful experience. I was probably the world's oldest Marian at 36, with intense imposter syndrome after not doing any theater for years. 😅

I was Marian in a community theater production of #TheMusicMan in the early 90s, and the Lida Rose/Will I Ever Tell You number with the barbershop quartet was probably my favorite in the show. #TCMParty

I remember a friend of ours in New Orleans who came to the U.S. from South Africa saying he loved us but how spoiled we (Americans) were. There were lots of wry faces and agreement, but we still had no real idea.

I actually knew a guy years ago who had a Rolls-Royce (too long a story) but all his taste was in his tongue - the car was mustard yellow, and there was a garden hose coiled up in the floor of the back seat! 😳
