Yes! I had a knee surgery that put me on the couch for about six weeks. The keys are preparation and being nice to yourself. Get crosswords/embroidery kits/sudoku/what have you ready now. But also realize there will be days when you'll be tired and hurting and sleepy, and its OK to just sleep.

Two TV reviews no one asked for: -- Season 3 of the Bears was a SLOG but there were enough good moments, particularly Tina and Sugar's episodes, that it was worth watching. -- I've tried getting into Dr. Who so many times and this is the first time I looked forward to new episodes.
