I have moments where I cannot believe that the GOP is nominating Trump again.
That they care so little for the future. That this is the best they can do. That my team will spend another year in court fighting against them simply for free and fair elections.
It's all very sad.
Woke vs unwoke. All I hear anymore. Majority of people I know feel all of his charges prove he's antiestablishment and not, "Elitist."
I try to point out that perhaps it's because he's a crook and guilty. No, the new world order is scared of him. New world order nonsense.
As I have unfortunately said far too many times, the average American adult is a grossly ignorant, intellectually slovenly, and stupid as shit, and only interested in some meaningless tribal sporting event / team or something equally meaningless on the 700 mind-numbing TV, streaming, cable channels.
i think they're stuck with him now
a lot of their base has had their brains so melted that if they didn't pick him as the candidate they would riot
so they kind of have to
alternatively the gop as a whole has been brain melted enough that they don't live in reality anymore and think he's the best
Psychologist here. I don't pretend to know all the angles, but much of Trump support matter-of-factly has little to do with logic or rational values. One illustration of how motivated to confabulate (not always consciously) many MAGA supporters are: twitter.com/i/status/176...
On the bright side, Trump is going to suck every cent out of the GOP accounts to pay his own legal fees, and leave all the down ballot candidates twisting in the wind.
Btw, I'm in Florida, and truly appreciate all the help fighting the systematic disenfranchisement down here.
I live among them. For most it's habit and conformity. If you ask them why they say they just can't vote for a Democrat. Republicans have painted them up to be the bogeyman.
