I have a confession: I don't min max my fromsoft skills. I don't even understand how most of the weapons work. I have no idea what flat damage is. I make the worst build in the game (dex/int split) because I like it. It makes it harder, but I look cute and feel good flipping and doinking spells.

I got an advance PDF of Hello Darkness #1 from @boom-studios.com and I read it and enjoyed it. Nice mix of ongoing stories, done-in-ones, weird bits and pin-ups. Swell line-up of talent, everything looks great. Worth checking out/supporting. Anthologies are a hard sell, so, good luck, everyone.

But more than that Moyosore B Okediji has pointed out how Western media framing of this piece has refused Nigerian spirituality. The same with Piss Christ. The logic is, you drink Christ's blood, eat his flesh, his tears, hairs, nails, are all sacred. Why not his piss? Why this line?

The Holy Virgin Mary makes sense to integrate dung (the protruding breast & stands). I'm not a christian theologian, but I struggle to understand why flies are not a valid form of life. Especially because early Western Christians used their spontaneous generation as proof of god. Why is a butt evil?

I'm just thinking about Ofili's The Holy Virgin Mary (1996) and Serrano's Piss Christ (1987) again. I wasn't raised Christian. So these symbols aren't more than objects to me. When I look at these two works, I think they are very loving and compelling.
