Yes, but you choose that on the day of the election. Your party registration doesn’t matter.

Same. If anything, I’ve gotten more liberal as I got older and more well off financially.

Does party affiliation actually matter for any purpose in Ohio? Looks like y’all have open primaries.

That’s the inherit assumption behind every utterance of, “they should just pick the most qualified person.” It never occurs to them that the most qualified person did get picked.

Dear Reporters,

If you’re interviewing a theocrat who says “all our laws are based on the Ten Commandments” and you don’t immediately ask them to provide evidence and examples for that laughably stupid claim, just go ahead and quit your job.

He says complete nonsense using big words, so when people have no clue what the fuck he's saying, they assume it's because he's smarter than them. I'll admit to having fallen for it myself, back when I used to watch Bill Maher.

If you're a fan of hoagies, I strongly recommend the old-school italian from Shanks on Columbus Blvd. If sausage is more your jam, get a sausage sandwich from Rocco's at Home Depot also on Columbus. Philly has some amazingly delicious shack food.

I'd also argue the statement, "China lied. Fauci lied. People died." is vague as hell. Did China lie about Covid-19? Maybe. Did Fauci lie? He said some things early on that weren't accurate based on incomplete information. Did people die? Absolutely. Are any of those statements related?

Not an expert in anything, but in the subhead alone, isn't all moderation a form of censorship, regardless of whether or not it's "transparent"? Letting the legal system work out liability would shut down all but the largest platforms, as the smaller ones couldn't afford the risk of liability.

Last I checked, most people were born at some point in their lives, and birth, as a rule, requires a pregnancy. So they can just think of it as paying off the debt from their own birth if the concept of helping their neighbor hurts their tushy too much.

As I understand it, most of the patents are already public domain. SawStop has already committed to dedicating the last remaining patent to the public if this requirement goes into effect. So her requirement has already been met.

Philly is suffering a major issue due to a lack of bus terminal. The current proposed location is in a parking garage that already has a separate bus entrance, but people are opposed because, “this neighborhood is a museum,” and because the pre-existing parking garage is near a daycare.

The $400,000 hospital bill (which insurance covered all but $1000 of fortunately) my had after the birth of our first child would strongly disagree with the notion that "having children is free." Unless "not dying" counts as a lifestyle.

Even if it's not exactly (which I'm pretty certain it is exactly the same), the cop is trying to act like a thick chain somehow means "professional" outside agitator, but bike locks are extremely difficult to cut. They'd suck at their jobs if they weren't.

The chains look the same to me, and the locks are definitely the same. It's also a lock Columbia sells to its students at a discounted price of $100. In the end, it doesn't really matter, my point is that chains like the one he's holding are sold for securing bicycles.

Pretty sure this is the exact same chain. Took me about 10 seconds of searching on duckduckgo, mostly because the first search gave me bicycle drive chains rather than security chains.

Most “you couldn’t do that today” examples I hear are definitely things you could do today. Blazing Saddles is the example that stumps me the most. Yeah you’d have to change some things, but the racial humor is clearly attacking racism, not race.

I think part of why It’s Always Sunny works is because the gang are acknowledged to be truly awful people. They’re not punching down, they’re punching in.

I think this is a mid-Atlantic east coast thing in general. Philly is the same way. We got places to be and shit to do. Also, anyone who starts with a story usually ends it with asking for money, so friendliness makes us put up our defenses.

My wife and I say this to each other all the time. It’s so easy to end up in a fight with your kids where you don’t actually care about what you’re fighting over, but you don’t want your kid to learn that they can get their way by screaming.

The risk/reward for illegally voting just isn't worth it. The penalties are severe and the benefit is extremely minimal. Why risk years in prison to give a politician one extra vote? In the vast majority of cases, people are making an honest mistake, not attempting to commit voter fraud.
