When young people say "What's the point of voting?" you can point out that it's what gets you political power--not sitting out of the process. Unfortunately, young people only tend to understand this once they are no longer young voters.

Hey remember when I said it was a mistake to continue posting on a platform this guy owns and validating its existence? Vichy Twiter is a Nazi run propaganda engine.

Cannot imagine what it's like to be an American History or Social Studies teacher right now, just ripping up old lesson plans and tests and shrugging at your students about how anything works at the moment.

What "purchased by Private Equity" is to business "by a 6-3 vote" is to the law. When you see an embarrassing failure, you already know that phrase is in the article.
(If people only understood how their vote connected to this reality).

While I can't relate to his need to steal and hide state secrets, the complete lack of a file organizing system hits kind of close to home.

Heat wave season reminder: one incident of severe heatstroke can cause an acute brain injury, as well as predispose you (generally temporarily) to getting heatstroke again. Do not push past early symptoms of heat exhaustion.
Catch it as heat exhaustion, and avoid an ER visit for heatstroke.

Is there a year that's generally acknowledged as peak tech? I can't remember when I went from being excited for new models and updates knowing they'd be a definitive step forward rather than dreading them as a step back but it definitely happened at least ten years ago.
