I have previously read was that the original plan for RJ Brande was that he would be the Martian Manhunter, who had lived up to the 30th century. The plan was ditched before it was revealed, though.

Jack is still clueless about stuff we learned in the early 2000s within about two days after starting a bulletin board. No moderation = chaos, and no ability to communicate effectively. Plus the safety issues... I mean, this is dead simple stuff, and it blows right past him.

The tenure of the 5th Doctor on #DoctorWho didn't exactly have a great set of stories, did it?
The greenlight of "Time Flight" should have cost someone their job, for example. Nonsensical storyline, racist antagonist disguise, awful (even by Who standards) SFX.
