I know nothing about PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE. I don't know the murderous aliens behind it, particularly Xarzon, who is a good friend. Anything they do, including raising the dead to destroy humanity, I wish them luck. But it has nothing to do with me. Hail Xarzon.

Oh, no, it absolutely WAS. In the special edition of Deadpool 2, the Fred Savage version, they spend a good amount of screen time discussing fridging, and Ryan actually gets it dead on accurate. This isn't a joke, it's a real thing, I've talked with him about it!

The actual auction (I wasn't there) was kind of weird, I am told that collectors weren't made aware of it. One artist famously bought their own piece back (he was very gracious about it!). BUT they still raised more than enough for the operation!
