Right now the #Fediverse is in Field of Dreams mode: "If we build it, they will come."
It’s a lovely sentiment, but we're up against the hard reality of network effects. How to onboard, engage and keep people?
One word: Storytelling.

Strongly agreed with this thread. Fascinating to me that fedi requires a certain decoupling of the server model to grow, while atproto probably needs to move towards a server/cluster-model to a certain extend to grow further

One of Bluesky's superpowers is custom feeds. Unlike certain other platforms where we're at the mercy of black box algorithms, we control our own timelines here.
A new favourite: QUIET POSTERS, which highlights posts from those who don't post frequently, so I'm sure to see their content. 💙🦋 #kidlit
