I would agree it will be closer than 2020, however unless the GOP have some kind of October surprise up their sleeve. Their base has not been growing, in fact, it's been slowly shrinking. That alone is going to hurt them and cost them.

I'm just here to talk to and learn from other people without having to deal with constant hate or misinformation. I get the sense that that's why a lot of other people are here as well. They need to learn from what they can from that. What worked elsewhere probably won't work here. In a good way.

I wonder if there would be any benefit to being able to see if two people replying to each other are mutuals or not in a thread. It could give a visual clue to someone that maybe jumping into it may not be beneficial? Just a random thought.

If the AI has access to all the stored information on us such as Google, Apple, Meta/Facebook, Twitter, and even our grocery store shoppers' cards etc. In a very scary way, could it then have a good idea of who we are then?

As long as the experience stays similar across devices. I played around with Mastodon when Twitter started going downhill and I somehow ended up on different servers and followed about the same people on each one yet the replies to people's posts changed depending on which server I was on at times.

There is a growing trend of people getting a taste of the management world and moving back to the individual contributor side of things. So you always have the option of moving back into more hands-on roles in the future if you really wanted. You would be far from the only one.

I remember when the police knocked over an older gentleman protesting in my city of Buffalo during that time that became national news. Our mayor at first came out against the police in the most gentle way possible and something happened behind the scenes that scared the heck out of him.
